Diverse gardens characterize the region

Gardens are places of relaxation, exercise and popular destinations for explorers. Wide views and a multifaceted landscape delight walkers, hikers and cyclists. Vineyards alternate with cultural gardens, orchards, forests and gorges. Those who climb one of the vantage points get a great overview.

THE GARDENS OF TULLN

DIE GARTEN TULLN invites you to linger in the alluvial forest area with over 70 show gardens, cozy loungers, sound installations and a restaurant. One highlight is the 30-meter-high treetop walkway, which offers an impressive view over the treetops. The nature experience is complemented by a forest maze and revitalized old arms of the Danube, which are ideal for canoe trips with the whole family.

Klosterneuburg Abbey: in the convent garden

The 16,000 m² convent garden at Klosterneuburg Abbey is a green idyll. Baroque and English gardens, the classicist orangery and changing highlights such as garden days and orchid exhibitions make it a special experience that is best discovered on themed tours.

Vastness and views

Particularly beautiful panoramic views over the vineyards in the Traisental can be enjoyed from the "Korkenzieher" lookout tower near the Eichberger and Ahrenberger Kellergasse. From the Felser Warte, the view opens up over the Wagram and its loess terraces. The panoramic view over the Vienna Woods and the Danube Valley from the viewing platform on the Tulbinger Kogel is magical.

Primeval forest and floodplain

The Stockerauer Au nature reserve offers rare animal, tree and plant species an undisturbed opportunity to develop. A network of paths with a total length of 23 km is ideal for walking, running and cycling (with a connection to the Danube cycle path). A nature trail to the forest school provides interesting facts about the floodplain ecosystem and the most common tree species.
